MEETING:  Our next meeting is on January 20 at Waterman’s Restaurant, 14302 Stewart Rd. Galveston, TX 77554, starting at 8:30 AM  with breakfast burritos followed by the meeting starting at 9:00 AM. The main presentation will be the State of Galveston by Mayor Dr. Craig Brown and City Manager Brian Maxwell.

Mayor Craig Brown is completing his second term as Mayor of Galveston. He has served the City since 2014, serving six years on City Council before his current term as mayor. Craig has also served as the Chairman of the Planning and Zoning Commission.

City Manager Brian Maxwell has been with Galveston for over 13 years – the last 10 years as City Manager. Prior to joining the City of Galveston, Brian worked for Galveston County as their Director of Projects and Infrastructure for over six years.

Craig and Brian will talk about what has happened in the City over the last year, and what they see going forward in 2024 and beyond.
