MINUTES: The minutes of the last meeting, January 20, 1918, is on our website.
MEETING: The next meeting will be Saturday, February 17, 2018, at the Galveston Country Club, 14228 Stewart Road , starting at 8:30 AM with a full breakfast buffet and the meeting starting at 9:00 AM.
PROGRAM: This is election year and the West Galveston Island Property Owners Associations plans three candidate forums. The first one will be Saturday, February 17 and the candidates for the forum will be as follows:
County Judge – Mark Henry and Lonnie Cox
County Commissioner Precinct 2 – Joe Giusti and Kevin O’Brien
State Representative District 23 – Wayne Faircloth and Mayes Middleton.
The WGIPOA Board of Directors has selected a series of questions that have been sent to the candidates in advance to answer at the meeting and if time permits to have questions from the audience. Please see the agenda for the program.
NOTE: The Management of the Galveston Country Club has established new parking procedures for meetings on Saturday morning. The main front parking lot will be reserved exclusively for golfers and all other parking will be on the side next to the pool, in back next to the bay, and behind the club house where the entrance is the back door. There will be parking attendants to direct you. If it is raining, the golfers parking lot will be available.
