MINUTES: The minutes of the last WGIPOA meeting of March 18 are on our meeting minutes page.
MEETING: The next meeting will be on April 22, 2017, at the Galveston Country Club, 14228 Stewart Road, starting at 8:30 AM for breakfast burritos and the meeting starting at 9:00 AM. Please note, we usually have our meeting on the third Saturday of the month but due to the Easter Holiday and weekend, we changed to the fourth Saturday or April 22.
PROGRAM: The West Galveston Island Property Owners Association is pleased to have Cheryl Johnson, Galveston County Tax Assessor/Collector, to discuss how to reduce your property taxes as well as to give an update on important property tax legislation being presented during the current 85th Texas Legislative Session in Austin. Cheryl spends a lot of time in Austin on property tax legislation and she will review important bills past and pending. Cheryl is always a popular presenter to the WGIPOA as she always has important property tax information for the residents to save money.
In addition, before Cheryl’s presentation, City Manager Brian Maxwell will go over the $62 million bond issue that will be voted on May 6.
This is an important meeting so please bring your neighbors and friends.
