MINUTES:  The minutes of the last WGIPOA meeting on September 19, 2015, will be on our website www.wgipoa.com in a few days.

MEETING:  The next meeting will be Saturday, October 17 at the Courtyard by Marriott, 9550 Seawall Blvd, with breakfast burritos starting at 8:30 AM and the meeting starting at 9:00 AM. 

Please note, the change in meeting place to the Courtyard Marriott for this meeting.

PROGRAM:  The West Galveston Island Property Owners Association is pleased to have Dr. Neil Frank, former Director of the National Hurricane Center, and Chief Meteorologist for over 20 years at KHOU TV in Houston.  Dr. Frank’s presentation will be about the devastating Ike hurricane in September 2008 and its aftermath.  Dr. Frank has researched before and after the storm and will present his findings. In addition, he will also present “What will happen to Galveston Island with a repeat of the 1900 hurricane?”

This is a must come to meeting to hear from a distinguished meteorologist especially on hurricanes.
