MINUTES:  The minutes of the September 20 meeting will be on our website, http://www.wgipoa.com/tx/meeting-minutes/2014-meeting-minutes/, at a later date.

MEETING:  The next meeting will be on October 18, 2014, beginning at 8:30 AM for breakfast burritos and coffee and 9:00 AM for the meeting at the Moody Gardens Hotel, Seven Hope Blvd, Galveston, in the Ivy Room.

NOTE: The meeting is at the Moody Gardens Hotel! 

Also, October 18 is the “D ’Feet Breast Cancer Fun/Run Walk” so the regular parking lot will be crowded and please park in the Convention Center Garage where there are lots of parking spaces.

PROGRAM:  We are pleased to have House District 23 candidates, Democrat Susan Criss and Republican Wayne Faircloth, address the West Galveston Island Property Owners Association.  We will also have the Board of Directors and the audience ask questions to the candidates.  House District 23 is so important to West Galveston Island so please come and get to know and hear from our future State Representative.

Sea Turtles:  The HEART (Help Endangered Animals – Ridley Turtles) organization needs your help to protect the endangered Kemp’s Ridley Sea Turtle.  Visit the website: http://www.ridleyturtles.org/

A new organization is in Galveston called the Sea Turtle Restoration Project (STRP) located at 2228 Broadway and the website is:http://www.seaturtles.org/
