MINUTES:  The minutes of our special board meeting of June 15, will be on our website, www.wgipoa.com, in a few days.

MEETING:  The next meeting will be on Saturday, July 20, 2013, beginning at 8:30 AM for breakfast burritos and coffee and 9:00 AM for the meeting at the Galveston Country Club, 14228 Stewart Road.

Please note we are at the Galveston Country Club for this meeting.

Program: We have a great presentation by the Galveston Parks Board of Trustees with Chairman Dr. Craig Brown and Executive Director Kelly de Schaun.  The Parks Board is operating on all cylinders and you should hear what they are doing, planning, and initiating such as a dune restoration/sand nourishment project at the end of the Seawall.  There is a new pavilion on East Beach and a seaweed core dune project that has received national recognition.

Bring your neighbors and friends and come here this great presentation.

Tuesdays through August 20:  Band Concerts: The Tuesday Galveston Summer Band Concerts under the direction of Frank Incaprera will be held at the Sealy Gazebo, 24th & Avenue I (Sealy), starting at 7:30 PM.  This is the concert’s 85th season and the City of Galveston has sponsored the free family band concerts continuously since 1928.  This is Americana at its best!!
