MINUTES: The minutes of our November 17 meeting are on our website, www.wgipoa.com.
MEETING: The next meeting will be on December 15, 2012, beginning at 8:30 AM for breakfast burritos and coffee and 9:00 AM for the meeting at the Galveston Country Club.
Please note we are back at the Galveston Country Club for this meeting.
PROGRAM: The West Galveston Island Property Owners Association is very pleased to have the City of Galveston Planning Department to return to review the proposed new Land Development Regulations with Lori Schwarz, Interim Director of Planning and Development for the City of Galveston and Gary Mitchell with Kendig Keast Collaborative (KKC). These revisions will improve the application and review processes, eliminate unnecessary regulations, and make other changes that the City believes will improve living and working in Galveston. They also would like to get feedback at the meeting on the proposed program.
The proposed 261 page draft of the Land Development Regulations (LDR) can be viewed at:

Please note that the Land Development Regulations will not address building/structural codes and final construction permits.
The proposed LDR is very important to not only the west end but for the entire island. The City really needs public input so please come to hear about this very important plan.
