The next regular WGIPOA meeting is on Saturday, July 19, at 9 A.M., at at the Galveston Country Club. PROGRAM: Please mark your calendars to attend and participate at the West Galveston Island Property Owners Association meeting because Karen Mahoney, newly elected District 6 City Council Member, will hold a “town hall” meeting to hear primarily from west enders (owners residents, builders, developers, realtors) regarding west end development issues and concerns, including the environment, quality of life, traffic, evacuation, public safety, beaches, bays, TIRZ, East End Flats, and more. She would like input in how to develop the west end, what you would like to see, what you like and don’t like about the existing and proposed developments, about a wetlands ordinance, light pollution ordinance, comprehensive environmental impact study, and more. Karen would like to know the west end “wish list” and to call her at: 409-737-1912 on issues and concerns you would like discussed at the meeting. WGIPOA meetings are generally held on the third Saturday of the month at the Galveston Country Club.
